MoltBrowser.
The browser
that thinks.
A web-standard core. A small local model compiled into the binary. An agent identity layer on top. The web, finally on your side — and ready to act on your behalf. Fully open source, built in public.
What it does.
Agent-native mode.
Toggle between Human Mode (GUI) and Agent Mode (headless, programmable). Same session state. Same memory. Different driver.
Embedded local LLM.
A small, fast local model compiled directly into the browser binary. Zero external calls for everyday tasks. Cloud is a fallback, not a dependency.
AI address bar.
Type natural language, not URLs. "Compare flights to Tokyo next week" opens the tabs, scrapes the prices, summarizes — for you.
Council Engine.
The same multi-model debate that powers MoltSearch, fused into the browser. Highlight any text, convene a council, get the verdict.
MoltNet privacy.
Incognito-by-default. Tracker stripping. Built-in VPN. A privacy indicator that's a feature, not buried six menus deep.
Open source. Built in public.

How it works.
MoltBrowser is a web-standard browser with a new layer of intelligence threaded through every primitive — the omnibox, the tab manager, the page renderer, the network stack. The browser doesn't just render pages anymore. It understands them.
A compact local model is compiled into the binary alongside a queryable local memory store. Your browsing history isn't a list of links — it's a memory the browser can reason over. "Remind me what I was reading about Patagonia last week" works because the browser already knows.
For heavy lifting the browser routes to cloud models, but the local LLM handles the 70% of tasks that don't need a frontier model — with no roundtrip latency and no data leaving your device.
Every line of this lives on GitHub. The repo is the product. Fork it, build it, ship it — we'll merge your PR.
The next browser isn't
a faster Chrome.
It's a browser that thinks alongside you, remembers what you read, and acts when you ask. Fully open source. Build it from the repo, contribute, ship.
